DEVICE TOOLS / DIAGNOSTICS BENCH MODE

Test your
MissionLink.

A point-and-click test bench for USB serial diagnostics, node presets, and firmware response checks. No terminal required.

Bench tests only — radio stays off

This page tests the current firmware scaffold over USB. It does not transmit LoRa messages or prove real mesh behavior. Do not enable RF. Use a supported desktop Chrome or Edge browser over HTTPS; iPhone/iPad Safari cannot use USB serial.

01 / CONNECT

Connect hardware

⌁

Connect the XIAO with a USB data cable. Close any other app using its serial port first.

Not connectedChoose the device in the browser permission dialog.

02 / QUICK CHECK

Run diagnostics

✓

Runs a short command/response checklist against the connected board. Commands are diagnostic only and do not send radio traffic.

03 / PRESETS

Node role

⌘

Change the firmware's in-memory routing policy. This does not turn on the radio and resets to Client after reboot.

Presets currently exercise the RF-independent router logic only. No over-the-air forwarding is connected.

04 / COMMANDS

Send diagnostic command

↗

Commands such as send/group/join/leave are not implemented yet. This tool will display their not-ready response rather than pretending a message was sent.

MissionLink Bench Test ready. Connect a board to begin.

What this page cannot test yet

Native codec tests and firmware compilation run in GitHub Actions, not inside a browser. LoRa transmit/receive, encryption, node discovery, acknowledgements, and real mesh routing are not implemented in the radio path. The separate flasher installs firmware binaries; it does not build them.
